Ever wanted to adjust your HotSync settings and found the icon is lost from the notification zone of your taskbar in Win XP? You’ve already determined that the “Hide Inactive Icons” setting is either unchecked or it is checked and you’ve set HotSync to “Always Show.” Still no HotSync icon. Ah, easy fix, you think. You go to Programs and double-click the HotSync shortcut. Still no HotSync icon. The Palm will sync, but you have no way to adjust the settings. You know you could simply restart the computer and hope for the best, but you’re in the middle of downloading that must have software or movie and don’t want to restart the process.  Now you are talking to yourself and considering drastic measures.  The kids are hiding their prized stuff animals and small pets
lest Daddy attempt to sacrifice them to the computer gods to ask their help.  STOP.  Take a deep breath.  Hands off the small fluffy critters whether stuffed or alive.  The solution really is easy.  Do the
Ctrl-Alt-Delete salute to assemble the Windows Task Manager seem.  Choose Hotsync.exe and thereupon hit the “End Process” button.  Go spine again to the Programs list and choose the HotSync shortcut.  Lo and behold:  the HotSync button appears once again.  Crisis is averted.  Life is now good.  The kids are no longer hiding their possessions from you, and the Mrs. is no longer on the phone with her Mom to get advice about you. Now, move slowly away from the computer. Take a walk. Enjoy the moment compliments of PalmAddict.
